My husband is an illegal immigrant who has lived in the us since he was 12 years old until one nite when the cops stopped cause he didnt have a drivers license they wouildnt listen to a thing he had to say not one word all they did was call immigration and they took him from us we have a 2yr old daughter and a 3month old baby boy that he hasnt even seen because of these stupid immigration laws my family has been torn apart he is a good man hard working loving caring giving the only thing he is guilty of is coming to our state in hopes of creating a better life and to be more educated so if thats a crime then i guess we are all guilty for wanting to better our selves

Illegal immigrants are putting tax paying Americans out of work. I live in a small upstate community and know numerous people including my self that lose work and jobs to illegals, and it is driving down the wage in the trades.

There is nothin good about illegal immigration. Not only do the illegals drive down wages, but they don't put the money back into the econom. They
send billions a year to Mexico and other contries. Its unfair that the taxpayer has to compet with a non tax paying illegal alien that contributes nothing but cheap labor to our economy. Its also unfair that my tax dollars have to pay for the illegals living in this country that contributed nothing.
Its also scary that they cross the border illegally and are unchecked for diseases such as TB.

It truly hurts me to see how bad people have turned on immirants, There are a lot of good immigrants (mexicans) out there that just want a family, a life, and a good job, and, that to them invalves, a job! you keep taking away and putting down all the people that want to do something with there lives, i understand, theres rules, but now you want to deprive people that want to work, and make better lives for them selves, that opertunity? I have seen on tv the way americans act…. the KKK popping up talking all crazy, let all these gangs get started up, and it wont be safe for any race, to live here. I have a different problem but similar….DHS…what they doing there working or ….i am married to a US citizen in 2004….i never thought about marrying a person of different culture and back ground…..i was ready to leave this country forever and to say a long love story short….i cancel my flight ticket and lost my money and got married….. then the battle started with usins… i have applied for change of status as permanant resident….still now we spend 3000 dollars on that paper work already….i have no idea what is going on…..still now whenever i call customer service they will tell me to call back after 60 days after 60 days they will say call back after 60 days…..where i can get justice?…i am longing to see my parents and they waiting to see me and my husband and baby….

i don't have money for anything….they issue me a work permit with a different date of birth when i ask a corrected one i have send more
application fee….make my life a hell…i can't work i can't study……i am just in a prison…now after several appeal i 130 which my husband applied for me was approved…meanwhile they did not update my i 485…so they deny that case…. when i check online my case is still pending. i made several infopass appointment and went to memphis to talk to someone…..it will take only a minute for them to tell me your case is denied so pay a 1000 dollars and apply again… what i can do? they making my life a real hell….am a Master of Public Health Graduate….but i cannot work in here…
we are trying hard to provide food and clothes and shelter for my baby….. can you help me anyway….

I am not a racist or prejudiced in any way. If the whole country becomes Mexican, Japanese, Puerto Rican and Chinese in a hundred years, more power to 'em, I say. But if they are illegal aliens living in the U.S, they should expect to be sent packing and charged with illegal entry.
Why have laws if we are not going to enforce them? In my country illegally? Get out. Trying to BUY a social security number that was stolen from a three year old kid? Go to jail and then get out. And let's change that stupid law that says if you were born on american soil you automatically become an american citizen. I know of one german lawyer who flew his wife over so she could give birth in america, and we damn sure don't need no more LAWYERS here….

You are not responssible & honest to stop the Downward-values of the U.S.-Pariotic-Dollar. Competition starts from that point. An increasing trend of the Imports(by the U.S.-Citizens), which is against the U.S.-Employers(U.S.-small-scale-Business-Owners), would increase the revenues in the "U.S.-Economicaly-Revial-Countries, at the cost of the U.S.-Economical-Health". An increasing Import, would confirm the "the increasing Inflation in the U.S.A., WITH THE DECREASING Dollar-values, or, the decreasing Employment-opportunities in the U.S.A." This is exponential in nature. "More deportations on the cheaper-foreign-worker, in the U.S.A." would shut-down "The more U.S.-businesses in the U.S.-Homeland(being defeated by the Chinese/Russian/Mexican cheap-prices)-aras", "creating more un-employment-crisis, for the U.S.-Citizens, in the U.S.-Homeland".

If we donot carry "the cheap-foreign-workers(due to the immigration-disadvantages-issues)", then "we would not be an winning competitor to the fast-growing-U.S.-rival-countries, like those of the China, Russia, Mexico, etc., WHO ARE NOTHING but the serious the U.S.-Economical-rival-economical-countries". This is a SERIOUS ON-GOING bitter-truth (FOR THE U.S.-SURVIVAL-issues), or, "a serious-U.S.-CRISIS for the U.S.-Economics, present & future", (that you would not ignore honestly), "if you are an U.S.-Honest-Patriot-Responssible-National".

"Every 100 cheap illegal-productive-foreign-workers, in the U.S.A.", would must shut down a Business in the U.S.-rival-Countries(China, Russia, Mexico, etc.), "before, to establish or, to bring back one lost Factory & Industry-point, in the U.S.A.,(from the rival-countries, China, Russia, Mexico, etc.), creating, atleast 125 new, more, Jobs, inside of the U.S.A.-Homeland, (exclussively, for the U.S.-Citizens).
Here, "Deportation of the Illegal-Foreign-Workers", or, "the punishments of the U.S.-Citizen-Employers(who hire cheaper-illegal-foreign-workers)", are "against the U.S.-Patriotism, or, to help the U.S.-Rival-Business-groups".

Legal-foreign-workers add almost nothing to the U.S.-Economical-Values(in comparison to the illegal-foreign-cheap-workers). Legal-foreign-workers, in maximum cases, are the burden(unnoticed, so-far) on the U.S.-Economical-structure.
We would not exploit the Immigration-legal-illegal-issues(to do harm for our own U.S.-Economical-Structures).
As the U.S.A. import from al over the World, beyond the U.S.-borders, it is wise & smart attitude, if the U.S.A. would not focuss on the border of the Immigraton-Legal-Illegal-issues. For the U.S.A., the border ends with the World.
Any people(from any part of the World), would discover, manufacture, develop; and the U.S.A.-Citizens would share it's benifit. This would be experienced as "the U.S.-Patriotism, as this Amnesty would be to save & advance the U.S.-Homeland-Economical-Industrial-Efficiency-Values".
The 12-millions hard-working poor-workers(who would not be replaced by any bergainful-legal workers) would must have to pay "an immigration- penalty @ $4,000 per head per year, for their rest of the lives in the U.S.A.", "to build+control+maintain the U.S.-borders", (if they would EXPECT the U.S.-Permanent-Residency-Status, for their life-term).
This is a middle-ground, where,

While I am not opposed to doing this operation again. I am convinced that you could not find 1000 border agents that are not already employed full time and working about 20 hours overtime a week to just start the operation.

Personally I see this issue as an excuse and an opportunity to all those racist people out there to target the most defenseless social group in our society. This is becoming more a political issue than a social issue. Undocumented Immigrants (Illegals), compose only 3.5% of the whole US population, that includes women and children and economically active individuals in the work force. Please! do not tell me that this small percentage of our society is depleting our nonfunctional health system and our educational system. When it comes to jobs, companies will do one of two options to stay competitive, they will hire less expensive labor here or they will find it overseas. In my opinion, the republican party is just playing politics with the lives of million of people and making it a "cry-wolf" issue in its electoral campaign to cover for every thing they have done wrong!. One more thing! Undocumented Immigrants DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO BENEFITS BECAUSE THE DO NOT HAVE A SS #! THAT IS WHY THEY ARE GETTING "NO MATCHING LETTERS". On top of that the IRS is not saying, "THE NUMBERS DON'T MATCH! SORRY WE CANNOT TAKE YOUR MONEY! Has any employer that received this letters, ever received a refund from the IRS for paying taxes on a non matching social security #? Fortune should do an investigation on this too! right?

I'm a bit confused as to why people do not understand the definition of "illegal".

This country has grown on the backs of people from almost all European countries, including my distant relatives from Ireland. However, they came to this country legally. Most came here to better themselves, as have those people from Mexico.

They come here illegally with their hands out…marching in the streets for "their rights"…and flying their flag over our flag. It won't be long before the citizens
of this country just get fed up with their audacity.

The arrogance of a "Judge" who is supposed to uphold the law throwing up a roadblock to the law is beyond my comprehension.

Google "Operation Wetback" on your computer. We did it then ( and several times before then)…..why not now ?!?!

I believe that this issue really boils down to two elements.

1 – Did the employer knowingly or unknowingly hire the illegal immigrant?
Given the ease at which these people can obtain forged documents, we cannot fault, nor should we punish, employers who follow a reasonable degree of prudence in their hiring practices. This said, it is my opinion that those employers who do not practice prudence, should be punished – because these actions fuel the illegality of the illegal immigrant problem in the U.S..

2 – What part of ILLEGAL do people not understand?!? These are folks in the U.S. illegally. Should we not enforce the laws? While I agree with, and
support, a Guest Worker program, I also support deporting ALL people here illegally. Two industries need laborers and seasonal workers; which make-up a large percentage of the illegal immigrants here in the U.S.; construction and agribusiness. These industries need low-skilled, low-wage workers, and folks from outside the U.S. can fill these roles….but they should be here legally! And employers who knowingly hire illegal should be punished. As an analogy…..Should the employer of a children's day care facility who knowingly hires a pedophile be punished? My answer…YES. Employers have a duty to hire responsible people who will not be a harm to themselves or others, and be within the bounds of legality. Knowingly hiring illegals is not legal, it undercuts business that function legitimately, it fosters a disposable workforce that is not well protected or compensated per current OSHA and EOP guidelines, and it is bad for our society…..for many reasons.

We are extremely opposed to this hiring policy! Illegal immigrants are already receiving more and better benefits than a great percentage of U.S. Citizens … and we taxpayers are paying for it, and not receiving the equivalent benefits or affordable medical coverage. There are senior citizens living on very fixed incomes who are paying thousands of dollars a month for medical coverage with no drug coverage,who barely have enough money to meet living expenses; in this day and age that is simply not acceptable in our country.

We do indeed think employers should be punished and heavily fined +++++ if they continue to hire illegal immigrants!

Personally I feel that employers who hire Illegal Workers SHOULD be fined…They do not change the Laws in this country to make Law abiding citizens lives easier. Why would a company not want to let an illegal go, especially when the social security number doesn't match, which means they not only illegally entered our country, but is using a false social security number, which is another law broken. I really don't know why we have any laws at all. Since we have a tendency to overturn them eventually. Damn liberals! Illegal is illegal and knowingly hiring an illegal is "supposedly" against the law.

So, we end up hiring them illegally, paying for their children's education (at the expense of our own-know this from experience), paying for their healthcare (in our public hospitals), paying for their food (foodstamps/WIC/headstart).
