Everyone should pay there fair share of taxes,It just shocks me that when it is an African American that suppose to have commited some crime,why do peoples makes statements like need to send a strong message,when it comes to the punishing stage?I also believe that you pay taxes to support our Country,and we do,so why do the credit Bureau's have so much influence on what capital you can gain? some Corporation gives you a bad rap,because they don't have an ear or heart to listen,and stuff is put on your credit report,that mess you around,but you still pay taxes,so I believe that all three credit Bureau's need to be eliminated,and a more fairer system establisted.

What's tax (control) governments so called
legal policing they need us to pay their debts think of it as ants in a colony without us they have nothing, reserve banks are privately owned they lend money to governmets and then need it repaid with interest who pays YOU AND ME TAX payers so in the end they do not want you to pay your loan off 30 yrs 40 yrs and I believe now a 50 yr loans always paying. Take a look at a movie called Zeitgeist it will explain how it works.

ROFLOL….Wesley Snips is NOT in jail and will never go because he reclaimed his "State Citizenship" or became a "Dejure Citizen"…don't know what that is, then figure it out. There is law libray's everywhere. People just need to shut the damn TV and internet off for one day and go look it up.
Oh ya, and CNN, if your going to OMIT this comment because you will get in trouble for posting this, then I understand….I mean the only News web site out there back when the court case first ended that mentioned: "Wesley Snipes was Aquitted of the charges claiming he was a Non-Resident Alien" and then turned around 3 days later and OMITTED that important info was probably because the news web site got into some serious trouble by Congress themselves for posting the TRUTH!!!!!!!!

Here's my issue:

The IRS defines business profit as revenue – expenses. A business gets to subtract the cost of doing business BEFORE paying taxes on the profit. There is an inherent "understanding" or "agreement" that the costs of doing business, labor, advertising, equipment, supplies, etc… are NOT subject to income tax – ONLY THE PROFIT, after expenses is.

For an individual, the "assumption" is that all of OUR expense – our labor, energy, supplies, etc… begins as pure profit and is taxable. There is no accommodation for or recognition of the value of our labor and what it costs us to provide a service. Business gets to value it's labor costs. The individual does not. I'm not a constitutional expert, but that does not seem to be equal treatment under the law. AND, the SCOTUS has ruled that a person's labor is NOT taxable.

It's time we stopped focusing money and started putting people first. The majority of time, money and energy we spend in this country goes towards the accumulation of …you guessed it – MORE MONEY. If we got rid of money as the focal point of our existence, and put the health, education and welfare of PEOPLE first, we'd reduce energy dependence, reduce stress, improve health, reduce crime, reduce pollution, etc…

Wake up people! This country was born out of a protest. Protesters are not the problem. Living in a system that does not allow one to fully enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is. I know, "if you don't like it, go somewhere else". Unfortunately, most other places have adopted our "limited" thinking and policies.

Everything in the world is made up. Surely, we can make up something better. We have to. Otherwise, we're all doomed.

The Federal Income tax is unconstitutional. However, that never stopped the government from implementing it into law through legislation. After all, as the 2nd Bush administration pointed out regarding the Torture issue : an act is only unlawful if the government rules it to be. Tax protestors are foolish. Give unto Cesar that which is Cesar's…or he'll carve it from your hide. I'm sure even after paying taxes, Mr. Snipes could've lived a fine, wealthy lifestyle. The tax code is so riddled with loop-holes that there is no excuse for refusing to file to reduce one's burden. C'est L'vie…now we'll have to wait 3 years for more of Mr. Snipes' fine entertainment…:)

This is a reply to Nicole from Dallas(Apr.29'08)…you call it "kooky" to want my tax-money to actually go towards Education,Health Care,Alternative Energy & other infrastructure? Did you see the 2008 Federal Budget? $481 Billion for the Dept.of Defense? $145 Billion for the so-called "Global War on Terror"? No,thank you! They actually increased funding to those 2 categories(+12.1% & +45.8%,respectively) while NOT increasing Education funding! How will America ever emerge from its backwards momentum when (literally) 1/2 our kids don't even graduate from high school? Oh,right..they're fodder for the War Machine! "Taxation without Representation." It's as simple as that. Spend my money on something REAL,and I will gladly give it up.

Has anyone seen the movie "Freedom to Facism in America?" Watch the movie, it talks about the "law" that doesn't exist on being taxed on labor. When you work for someone(ie.labor) they pay you. It's a barter. Incomes is defined as "profits". ie. retail, selling, stocks.

MY HUSBAND WAS BORN AND RAISED IN THE GOOD OLD U.S.A. he can't read or write.
He filed his taxes and paid them with the use of an accountant.The I.R.S. prosecuted him for tax fraud for the very first return that he ever filed. When he refused to plead guilty, they prosecuted me too!OH, by the way i'm a housewife.They threw my husband in jail and refused him bail until we both plead guilty.What happened to our do process????Why don't accountants have any accountability?

What do I think? I find it hilarious that the U. S. government wants to use Snipes as an example. I understand the thought behind it, but here's a better thought. Why are we making a big deal out of this when actors and actresses are routinely pulled over driving drunk, or posessing cocaine, things that can actually hurt some one else, and they get a slap on the wrist. If I got caught with a bag of dope in my Gucci bag I'd get locked up, no questions asked. The point is if you are going to use a celeb as an example, do it across the board, in all cases. They are only pushing this case because they want "they're" money. It makes me sick!

income tax does not pay for anything we use in this country. It pays the interest on the nation debt. We have drivers license fees to pay for roads. We have property tax to pay for street lights, etc;
If you make 30k a year do you really think you should give 10k to the government.-it pays part of a senator's 200k a year salary?

The only thing that works is fear itself, as FDR tried to deny. Real criminals have less to fear from Uncle Sam every year. If someone refuses to dance for the IRS, then the punishment gets more severe and arbitrary every year. Solzhenitzen thought people who get pleasure from hurting other people were treated as class allies (co-conspirators) of the collectivists.
