Diana brought the house down at the Miss America pageant! We were not there for the preliminary talent portion, that was on Tuesday and we did not arrive until Thursday, but EVERYONE was talking about Diana and her amazing performance when we got to Vegas. It is to bad they did not show her talent on Saturday night, I think she would have been in the top 3 if everyone could have seen her twirl. If you want to see it it is posted on You Tube.

I saw Diana in the preliminaries. She was the best talent at the pageant! Too bad. Miss America bills itself as being about talent and they had a real opportunity to crown someone who was beautiful, smart, talented and NOT a dumb "pageant-girl." One man said he had been going to Miss America for 30 years and she was the best talent he had seen in all those years. Diana was clearly the crowd favorite. When she was eliminated, the crowd "booed!" (This is unheard of at the Miss A pageant!) Then, they let her twirl and perform as they went to commericial break. When she was done, the audience was quickly on their feet and gave her a standing ovation. NO ONE else was greeted with that kind of warmth. Diana should be proud to have placed in the top 10. It's America's loss, though. They missed out on seeing one of the best talents out there.
