I just love your site and I had paypal take my business for over 9K this year already and I wanted to let you know that I have found a first party merchant account that offers un-advertised specials for Business that have been ripped off by paypal.com. Thought I would add a website to your list of alternatives. Here is the link.

Hello!

I want to tell you my story so that people will know the truth about AlertPay. I’m writing you since you wrote the article about them on CNN’s site.

Two months ago or so I used another online payment system to invest in an autosurf site that could pay you a good return. I paid them with LibertyReserve and then requested via AlertPay because they allowed this. That autosurf then paid me. And I requested to withdraw that amount from AlertPay to my bank account. My alertpay account is verified as I sent all my papers and even talked to them on the phone. But they chosed to deny my withdraw and locked my account so that they can get my money. I earned those money correctly by doing webdesign and I knew that I risk to lose them in a autosurf program but never thought that the real thief is Alertpay. I’ve written them numerous emails and they threaten me with the Interpol and Scotland Yard. Are they kidding me? First of all I’m not obliged to tell no one about my money not to the Interpol, not to the CIA or ANS but even if that was the case they think I’m stupid to think that I did something wrong. And not that they stole my money and are now desperately trying to hold on o them by scaring me. I’m a tough woman, I work in webdesign for so many years and have met a lot of people and I’m able to know when I’m being lied to and stolen from.

Sorry for the long message but I hoped that perhaps you could do sort of a follow up on that story so that people won’t be fooled again. I wrote them numerous emails but it’s like talking to my parrots they ignore me and keep asking me the same questions that I answer again and again.

God bless,
Elisabeth

Steve Case’s Revolution Money Exchange product is a viable alternative to PayPal. Their MoneyExchange product is comparable to Pay Pal, but better!!!!! It offers an easy and secure way to send and receive money online between accountholders for FREE!!!!

After evaluating and reviewing many alternatives, I found that Moneybookers and AlertPay are the most prominent. Both have good customer support, and are quite less restrictive than Paypal in terms of your country of origin. Also, fees are competitive and clearly stated in their websites.

for our business there is Moneybookers.com still the prime processing system, because it is w/o recharge risk as PayPal or 2CO have, and easy transfer to VISA or Bank account within EU zone.

The fees are low, and they accept all national and international CCs and DebitCards allover the world.

AlertPay we try out for US customers who may have problems to open a Moneybookers.com account, with good experience.

PayPal we don’t use anymore after they forced a paxpbak to a fraudulent buyer and we had the total loss of all.
PayPal supports fraudulent buyers in fact, no security for the seller if not both, buyer and seller, are within US.

Well we are yet to find a company that would allow international merchants to accept credit card payments or echecks without the requirement of their customers to create an account or merchants would process their customer’s orders if the customer is not interested to go on the website to process a payment or place an order. Alertpay is a good company but if they can add these options, it will resolve lots of problems for internation merchants.

Alertpay is absolutely horrible.
I have tried and tried and tried to purchase something using my credit card (for $130).. every time it says I’ve exceeded my limit.. how can this be when it is my first purchase. Further investigation (ie I called them) showed they have a $100 limit on credit card transactions.. Ridiculous? You bet!

Revolution MoneyExchange allows you to collect payment for goods or services through their website. Best of all, payments you receive through Revolution MoneyExchange are FREE to buyers and free for sellers as long as you’re a MoneyExchange FREE accountholder.

The more people you tell about MoneyExchange, the more bonuses you can get. You will get a $10 referral bonus for each person who registers from your referral and is approved.
No credit card needed!

For every payment you receive from a customer who signs-up FREE, you get $10! (Up to $500)

MoneyExchange is a peer to peer money exchange program that plans to challenge PayPal by offering free on-line money transfers. That’s right. No more complicated fee structures to decipher (and pay!) when sending or receiving money on-line. I love the convenience of PayPal, but I hate paying the fees!

What is Revolution Money Exchange? Revolution Money Exchange is an on-line money transfer company that allows people and merchants to exchange money without paying fees. It’s free to register, add money, send money, receive money, request money and withdraw electronically to a bank account. There are fees to withdraw money by check or to receive a paper statement.

How is Revolution Money Exchange Different from PayPal? The biggest difference is in the fee structure, but there are several other notable differences. With Revolution Money Exchange, the only fees you will pay will be to receive a paper statement, withdraw funds via check, or if you mess up (withdraw too much, “bounce a check,” etc.). The good news is that you can use Revolution Money Exchange without being subjected to fees. With PayPal on the other hand, fees are practically unavoidable. PayPal’s fees are often substantial, and sometimes you don’t know what you will pay until you pay them.

Is Revolution Money Exchange safe? Yes. It was important for me to research this before I signed up, because Revolution Money Exchange requires your social security number to create an account. Don’t worry, there is no hard credit check done using your SSN. It is clearly stated on the sign-up form – “This information is not used to review your credit history or to establish new credit.”

The account is issued by First Bank & Trust, Brookings, SD, Member FDIC and part of the Fishback Financial Corporation. It is also backed by Citi, Morgan Stanley, and Deutsche Bank AG, and brought in a $50 million venture capital round backed by Ted Leonsis and AOL Founder Steve Case.

The best way for Revolution Money Exchange to gain traction against PayPal is to get the people’s attention and convince them their service is something they need. Then RME needs to get these new customers to begin using the service.

Hello,
I’m not really sure how I ended up here but I enjoyed your article.

I use a few different payment processors for my websites, Currently I have 5 websites with another in the works.

Over the last 5 years, I have found that my best responses from my clients have been with Paypal, Alertpay, Moneybookers, and eGold.

I was a Stormpay user for sometime but they started taking money out of my account so I closed that one down.

The service is very unreliable and communication with paying subscribers is almost non-existent during outages. Yes, outages of a shopping cart service which by the way take us off-line and put us out of business for whatever period of time they are down. Aside from that it is a great service but they must resolve reliability issues ASAP.

@Jennifer, if you pay a buyer for a tangible item and he does not deliver it, you can always contact the payment processor for a refund.

Now, if you used an offline payment method, then you have been victim of a scam and that could have happened on craigslist or ebay or any other website.

http://www.treasure-adventure.com/ejunkie.html

if anyone would be interested in reading more about them, although many new services and features have been added since the article was written. We love them and still know of no affordable service provider that can compete with them! They started out as a small group of talented techies who quickly transformed e-junkie into an amazing digital download community, and I would highly recommend that anyone interested in selling digital downloads read our article, visit the ejunkie website to explore features, and make a comparison yourself with all the competitors. I doubt you’ll find anyone who can come close to beating them.

I was paying a service called PayLoadz as much as $75/month. They were fired after sending unpaid downlinks and stating that the merchant was a dumbass and should give them my PayPal password so they could find the non-existing payments.

While I hate their name, e-junkie.com has proven to be a mature, reliable system which for a flat $5 a month is bargain. For me the good service is more valuable than the low price.

One note: 2checkout.com now accepts PayPal as part of their payment system. I guess if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.

All in all, I’ve used 2checkout for years and have been pleased with their service and ease of use.

I use a printed form that is signed in blood with arangements when those are not met I use mafiacollections.com ; Lou and Gino specificly.. they goes and gets me whats mine sometimes with a bat and tire iron. it never goes much farther than dat they are very perswasive, ohh they get 23% that they charge my clients upon collection, sometimes they have to sit at the atm for 4 transactions sometimes they wait till the banks open the next day and keep the client in the trunk for safe keeping till then.

I’ve been selling online for over 10 years and I always use a merchant service that integrates to my Bank Merchant account (in my specific case, Authorize.Net and NOVA Merchant Services). It works excellent, the only complaint I have is that when the US Postal Service messes up (less than 1%), the customer instead of tracking it or contacting their local Post Office they take the easy way out and submit a chargeback. Credit Card companies have to understand that say you purchase a gift a store and you then go to the Post Office to mail it to someone, if the US Postal Service losses the package and you did not insured it, can the customer submit a chargeback. They can but the Credit Card company cannot chargeback the Post Office or the store where the merchandise was purchased from. What’s the difference from an online store then? Why do Credit Card companies allow customers to penalize merchants if the merchant did it’s job? The bottom line is that THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES have to work with the good merchants instead of penalizing them.

Being a self publisher, and unable to afford the big book distribution comapnies, E-junkie was the outlet source that helped my home based business off the ground. Without E-junkie, my company would not exist.

I am a stay-at-home father turned small-business owner who uses E-Junkie on http://www.BabySleepSound.com to deliver white noise MP3 downloads and CDs to tired parents who have babies that won’t sleep.

My company has experienced fantastic growth since it started in 2006, and I am convinced that the ease of use and reliability of E-Junkie’s service is the main reason why.

I have been using E-junkie for almost two years now in my educational software business. The company has been exceptionally helpful to me, and I owe a good deal of my growth in sales to their shopping cart, which is one of the most usable on the market today. (And you sure can’t beat $5 a month!)

E-Junkie.com is a perfect service for selling digital downloads. We use it on http://www.MixedInKey.com to sell our software online. It has worked great for us. It’s dependable, easy to use, and costs pennies compared to other services.

So far, it’s been great! Their website can give you details of the services they provide, but as an end user I’ll tell you what impressed us the most.
The SAME day we listed our product on e-Junkie, our listing showed up as TOP result on Google. Don’t know how they did that, but it was awesome for us to see. :)
I would also like to mention that we sell posters online and the e-Junkie cart is the only one we found that could intelligently perform shipping calculations for us. Yet another reason we will be dedicated customers.

No mention of Google Checkout? It’s certainly more widely used than most of the 5 alternatives mentioned. Google Checkout is easy to integrate with any shopping cart system or web site, or can be used to simply request money via email – like paypal.

I’m in the UK, and when I want to sell something I sell it on MarketWall now instead of eBay.
http://marketwall.com/

On MarketWall I can sell to people that live near me and insist on cash payments, so I don’t need to worry about PayPal or other payment systems.

I use AlertPay.com. They’re really good and good support. I think they are a great up and comer. Their fees are cheaper then Paypal’s. They’re missing some advanced integration tools but I heard they are working on them.

I have used Plimus.com for several years now. They continue to add new features and I run my small affiliate program for my site FamilyHistoryProducts.com with
it.

Before Plimus, I used QuickPayPro. It
is a great platform as well, but too
expensive at $45 per month.

Wow, what happened to Propay not being featured? Talk about a reasonable ecommerce feature! With Propay, you pay a flat fee (around $30) a YEAR, not a month- and 2.3% per transaction. You do have to manually enter the info but for small sellers, it’s a goldmine compared to a DOLLAR (!!!!) or .45 per transaction PLUS the interest rate that the featured ones charage. It’s also ultra secure and many, many ebayers with stores (including myself) use it on our personal sites.

Check into MoneyRevolution, which is being accepted now on Bidville.com. It was easy to sign up, unlike PayPal. They gave me a $25 cash bonus just to join and have given me $10 for each referral. I love it. Not many buyers recognize the name yet, so I am still forced to offer PayPal as a payment method in addition to MoneyRevolution. Very much worth your checking into.
