We frequent Lola on special occaisions and when relatives are in town- - it's always a special evening. Michael and his wife deserve alot of credit for their hard work, creativity, taste and sense of customer service. Bravo! Last year, before he was on Iron Chef, I made reservations for my wife's birthday, month's before the event. Shortly after I made the reservations, Micheal was a contestant and won the show's competition. An already hot restaurant, business then really went through the roof! Being fans of the show, I asked if Mr. Symon could visit our table, as a surprise for my wife. Not only did he spend considerable time with us, answering many questions, but he also graciously posed for pictures with us. The food was great as well as every aspect of the dinner and service. The restaurant was mobbed all night long. The food is very interesting, a combination of confort food and gormet. Beef cheek filled pierogis anyone? If you ever visit Cleveland, make sure you make it to Lola's, but make reservations plenty in advance! We went to Lola for dinner on Saturday night. The entire experience was absolutely terrific. We were greeted with a smile and escorted immediately to our table. Our server did a terrific job. Our food was incredible. And the desserts... "Beer and pretzels." Mmm... We had watched Chef Symon through the Iron Chef competition. As we were eating, we heard his laugh. It was nice to see the Chef in his restaurant. On our way out, we were able to meet him. He was very gracious and humble. I've met local, successful chefs who were not to Chef Symon's level of success who were considerably more conceited. As Chef Symon said in his article, give your customer service and quality and they will be loyal customers. He has earned 2 loyal customers! We will be back!
