In the spirit of all the help The government offers businesses considered "too large to allow to fail"..any economic group that produces 9 out of 10 of all new jobs created in the last 15 years should get generous help from Congress!

Small business is the backbone of this country. If the government keeps taxing the small business owner to death, the country is doomed.

The best part of Small Business Week for most companies is the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) Conference, produced by the Federal Business Council (www.fbcinc). Today's was the 18th Annual event, which staff said was attended by over 2000 visitors. I got great contacts and leads for my own business and for my clients from top prime contractors, partners, and government buyers.
I'm focused on helping people win government contracts, so I only went to the Procurement Forum at the SBA conference. THOSE events need to offer a much more practical focus with meaty details for the hundreds of companies that come wanting something more than web sites, and need more in-the-trenches learned-from-that stories from real government vendors.
That's where you REALLY get the "aha!" …not on web sites. My clients who came today said they learned SO much more in a day than they could have in a month searching online.
