EBay's Whitman for governor? Not quite yet …
EBay's former CEO is rumored to be eying political office, but so far she's resisting calls to formally throw her hat into the ring. Does the small-business community have a politcal standard-bearer? Â

I don't know if small businewsses have a politcal standard-bearer, but with all the intrusive regulations that are being proposed by the Democrats this year, I thyink we definitely need a bigger presence on the political front. Thanks Meg Whitman, Joe Balsarotti and Ted Wenzlick for stepping up to the plate to raise awareness.
I am a registered Independent, and plan to vote in the upcoming elections. As a woman owner of a small and growing business, I am currently struggling with who to vote for. Currently I am currently leaning towards John McCain. Even though I don’t agree with McCain’s policy of continuing to grant tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans, I do agree with the Republican’s’ stance on less invasive policies…especially for small businesses. I feel like Obama’s policies towards regulation of businesses are geared more towards large businesses with no regard to how these policies affect smaller businesses and consequently the American economy…because after all, small business is the backbone of America’s economy. I think America’s small business owners would like to see the candidates speak more directly about small-business issues and policies.
So my question is, “How will the Democrats help small businesses be able to handle the Democrats' proposed policies which include increased financial burdens for small business owners like annual wage increases, a minimum sick leave, indecisiveness on NAFTA, and the requirements that small businesses carry health insurance?
Points to ponder…
