Gorilla Marketing

Champ Gabler and his wife, Peggy Sue, beat the slump with outsized marketing campaigns. What's your view on the Gablers' slump-busting marketing strategy?

Ms. Overfelt:
Couldn't resist dropping you a note to say how much I appreciated your
writing in June FSB's 'Gorilla Marketing'. That was the best lead paragraph
I've seen anywhere in a long time — simultaneously punchy and provocative,
with great alliteration, assonance and rhythm — a fun read. (The rest of
the article was good, too, of course!) Anyway, thanks for a gem.

It's nice to see a business doing something about slow sales instead of just whining about the slow economy. No matter what they spend I know my tax dollars aren't going into it.
