Talent Tamer

Employee-evaluation software from companies like SuccessFactors can help you track employee progress. How does your company track talent? What do you think of talent-management software?

Training Manager software from Kaizen Software Solutions also provides an excellent solution to track employee training records. This is a great supplement to a standard Performance Management System.

I'm familiar with such tools, they basically have the employee do the very job management was hired to do but is too incompetant and too unmotivated to do.

Companies are paying big bucks for software systems that aren't much more than a wiki board with HR buzz words super-imposed.

Such tools are a crutch for bad management. Management doesn't become competent after using these tools.

Jakoba Software is another web-based employee performance management vendor. It is designed for small to medium sized firms, and training times are much smaller than what is mentioned in your article – but offers all of the functionality.

Hi Cindy,

I read your recent article regarding HR software and found it quite distubing that while you did mention Authoria as a leading provider, you specifically stated that only SuccessFactors and Taleo were providing 100% pure web offerings.

Authoria has been a pure SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) provider for several years now only offering our service through online means.

A post publish fact check and correction should be made.
