If a site owner can get links from other reputable sites (especially .edu and .gov), Google will be more inclined to recognize their authority on a topic. I run Firefox with NoScript, and the top nav bar was blocked by the add-on. Truthfully, the add-on is over-zealous at times in its blockings, but have the nav bar blocked is not a good thing. The more technical your text is the quicker the back button is pushed,unless you are trying to attract nuclear technicians. Also shrink the size of the picture,it detracts from the rest of the page so much that you have to search for any information. There are a couple of items that I would do to this site in order to improve the web presence. The first would be to scrap the current navigation system. The information isn't laid out in a clear and easy to understand manner. Also I would stay away from huge blocks of text. People don't respond to reading all that information. Hire a copy writer to handle the marketing pitch and hire a technical copy writer if you need to put some very technical information on your site. From a visual stance, I would get some good photography done or purchase some good stock photography.
