I would say that the credit card logos are too prominent. The white parts are too part. Agreed. I would soften the purple also.

Maybe some corresponding text-- text that creates interest might help.
Maybe some text on the artisians-- stories of some of them if you have them. Something to engage the visitor.

Starting and building a website is a journey. Keep at it!

Check out these two sites.

You might want to hide your e-mail address from the spambots. There are a number of ways to do it. I use a program called e_cloaker that does an excellent job hiding the address. Also pick out an e-mail address that is not so easy to guess.

I agree the web site is boring and does not POP. I am a fashion and marketing guru and you really need to make your produsts attractive. Prsentation is everything. When you go out to a fine restaurant your food on the plate should have representation and presentation. I am very interested in purchasing some of your products and will be calling shortly. If you need further assistance I can help you even though your budget is limited.
Great concept and idea and nice items but it needs a hughe pick me up. Now that fall is forth coming and more people are shopping on-line due to gas prices and those that want to help out others your marketing concept is great and you need to purchase a cusomer data list and start marketing more and more to make the register ring. My direct line is 631-439-5148 if you like to talk more.

My name is Matt Wilson and I am one of the partners from Pumpkinfish, a design studio in Fort Lauderdale.

My first comment would be that I don't know what "fair trade" means. I went through the About Us section, reviewed some of the info and just when I thought I was going to find out what it is, it stopped and left me hanging. If it is important to say and is being used as a marketing angle, I would go on to emphasize it a little bit.

Second, fashion is a fantastic industry to work with. You are selling art. You have a solid logo but the site is a let down. Work with a firm that is creative, out of the box, and appeals to your own visual style.

Third, E-commerce has become synonymous with ugly these days. E-commerce can be done so many ways, good photography is essential here to get a user enticed. Remember, they can't pick it up, feel it, look at themselves in a mirror with it, so you have to sell it just on visuals alone.

These are some good places to start. Good luck on your project

I agree wholeheartedly with the analysis from the FireThread Studios president. Shoppers like an "experience" and since the Web doesn't allow them a tangible item to play with, Karen should focus on giving her customers details, clear photos and multiple images to showcase the more expensive products. Good advice that applies to all small business owners!
