I'm also surprised you didn't mention the new Kodak printers: I have one and the quality of the photos and documents is great..(mostly the photos !!) not to mention the ink is way cheaper !!! You should test try it..

I agree 100% with the HP L7680 it is a kick-butt machine I have had mine for two months and it rocks. $35 black cartage lasts 2300 pages!

Talking about print quality and cartridge price without mentioning Kodak's printers may be an unforgivable mistake. I have one that I would not change for any Canon or Lexmark… and I can print as much as I can once ink is really inexpensive.

Try the HP Officejet Pro L7680 "All in One" then you will throw rocks at both the machines you tested.
