Just like the web itself, there are often uninformed people with bloated thoughts casting their moronic content on others.

Greg from Tucson is one such treasure. You are an idiot and I am certain you give all who see you great joy in laughing at your ignorance and stupidity. Search Google (that’s a search engine) for “expert seo”, “seo website”, “expert website seo”, “expert seo design”, “seo website design” and you’ll see my company. We’ve worked with thousands of satisfied clients, across some of the most keyword competitive industries. What have you done? Outside of misdirecting people with stupid advice I mean.

Somewhere a village is missing an idiot.

Greg Tucson – I have to disagree with your comment. Why would it be dumb to have keywords in your URL? It would only help them. It’s easier to show up for a non-competitive term like “fretzel” without a keyword domain name. You’re better off using the URL to your advantage for seo.

Of course it’s not the most important part of SEO but it won’t hurt.

Not a bad article, but the idea to use a more google friendly web name is a bad idea. Fretzels is a great name, and should be appluaded.

From this part of the article “Another element that holding you back is your URL. “Freztels” doesn’t carry much weight, but a URL that contains popular search terms can give you a boost. (Crompton notes that gourmetpretzels.us is available.) That way, every page on the site that the viewer clicks will support the most important keywords right off the bat in the browser. (Don’t worry – Fretzels.com can still exist as a redirect.)” this advice is dumb. By using this advice, Google would be renamed “verypopularsearchengine.us” Branding with Fretzels is great, because everyone searching that keyword is really looking for exactly that brand, exactly that product. Don’t forget that people searching for that keyword are spenders, not just searchers. This is why it is the most popular keyword for the site.

If you can place links to your site in other related websites with a higher PR rating, this will help tremendously in your search rankings.Directories are also helpful in this quest. Advertise, advertise and advertise your URL wherever you also advertise. It has become second nature for shoppers to look for a website address in print advertising.

The SEO experts commenting on the article “Boost Your E-Commerce Site’s Search Ranking” were very good and were right on the money with their advise.

As the SEO specialists for WebSiteCenter.com, a web site design company located in Las Vegas, Nevada, I’ve had the opportunity to work on hundreds of web sites from start to finish – including its marketing campaign on search engines via SEO.

I reviewed the fretzels.com web site to confirm the SEO experts advise. I concur.

What I would like to emphasize on is their mentioning of w3c.org – which was downplayed quite a bit – and what I consider to be the most important aspect of the SEO process. W3C.org offers a page validation tool so you can check your web site whether it is in compliance with standard codes – HTML, javascript, xml, etc. Visit http://validator.w3.org. According to the validator tool – fretzels.com has 121 code errors and 11 warnings.

By resolving this issue and addressing and correcting each item that the validator has found – will make a big difference in her ranking.

By compliying with w3c.org, you’ll find that it will take care of the other items that the other SEO experts have advised on.

Overall, it was a decent advice. Covered most basic steps of page optimization like tagging, keyword research etc.

IMHO, should have provided some tips on quality in bound building, which is vital for site traffic as well as search engine ranking. Good news is, site is already popular and have a good page rank.

Overall, a very good advice, in simple english, which is understandable to a non-technical person.
