Green gift: Energy upstarts chase stimulus cash
With help from Washington, a new crop of entrepreneurs are building pragmatic, planet-friendly enterprises. What do you think – is now the time to invest in green energy?
I sure hope this guy succeeds. I know recycling in my area is a joke. What I put on the curb on the "acceptable" list is not even picked up. Even aluminum cans won't be picked up!
I wish I knew what toothbrushes were made of. I wonder if that material can be broken down (shredded, melted, something along those lines) to be used as a component of something else already being manufactured?
This is such a geat idea. I hope this company keeps it up. I am looking into getting our schools here in Fernley Nevada to get into recycling. This may just be the nudge they needed. Keep it up you are helping keep our earth clean for our great grandchildren instead of having to have Wall-Es and live in space LOL
YES. I think it will succeed. I hope he does a better job of researching how he is going to have the products he promises to deliver without getting the company into another monetary debacle.
Yes it is always good to go green but the disadvantage of this is that governments always want the biggest share in this. Why can't they leave us ordinary people in doing what we can with them just backing us up. Besides the fact that the atmoshpere will be a lot friendlier it will also create jobs and keep people happy.
Yes, now is a good time to invest in green energy. Actually, it's always a good time to do so.
From now until 2050, the less expensive oil and natural gas will be exhausted. By 2100, the less expensive coal will also be exhausted. Remember, we have 6 billion people, which is the real cause of the problem. So, we need to stabilize population at about the current level, reduce energy consumption below the current level, and replace the fossil carbon with renewables, such as geothermal, hydro, nuclear, solar, and wind … or else. As an added benefit, we solve most of the climate change problem.
There will be many opportunities for investors and workers. It is key that any government money be targetted at creating good-paying, onshore, stable jobs; no more bubbles, please. And, we must make sure that the power production and equipment manufacturing are in America to finally fix our trade deficit and budget deficit.

Don’t play ball with warmies. We should take every opportunity to state the essential truth that the case for manmade CO2 warming has not been made. We should not compromise with a pressure and propaganda campaign. If steps can be taken to cut back on energy consumption and reduce air pollution, then that’s great. However, we should not make any claims for a smaller “carbon footprint,” less global climate damage, etc. CO2 is not a pollutant. Unless and until the scientific case is made and presented in a coherent fashion, we should not succumb to purely political bullying. Not one penny to extortionists and swindlers. The emperor has no clothes.
